Pursuant to the Law of Mongolia on Organic Food and the Law on Standardization, Technical Regulation and Accreditation of Conformity Assessment, and in implementation of the relevant provisions of Chapter Four (Conformity Assessment), in particular Article 15.5, which provides that conformity assessment bodies accredited by foreign accreditation bodies and conducting conformity assessment activities within the territory of Mongolia shall be registered by the national accreditation body, the National Accreditation Center has approved the Regulation on Registration of Conformity Assessment Bodies Accredited by Foreign Accreditation Bodies and registered it in the State Unified Register of Administrative Normative Acts.
This regulation is intended to support the objectives of conformity assessment set out in Article 13, namely ensuring product safety, enhancing product competitiveness, and protecting consumer rights and legitimate interests.
In accordance with Article 15, conformity assessment bodies, including laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification bodies, shall operate in compliance with applicable legislation, technical regulations, standards, and procedures, and shall continuously and consistently comply with accreditation criteria. Conformity assessment bodies are required to conduct activities strictly within the scope of their accreditation and shall not misuse accreditation status.
